What a tune-up covers in Palm Beach County weather
The Premier Tune-Up is hands-on: it treats, flushes, cleans and protects the system, not only inspects it.
Humidity and the condensate drain
In our humid air the indoor coil pulls water from the house whenever it runs, and algae grows in the drain line that carries it away. The visit flushes and vacuums the line, checks the flow and treats the drain pan for 12 months.
Salt air near the ocean
In Palm Beach, Manalapan, Ocean Ridge, Highland Beach, Juno Beach and Jupiter Inlet Colony, salty air coats the outdoor coil. The visit cleans the coil with disinfectant, straightens fins and trims plants back. The plan terms exclude salt-air corrosion, so cleaning is the protection.
Storm season
Summer storms bring lightning and flickering power. The visit tightens connections, tests the kick starter and checks refrigerant pressure. Storm, flood and power-surge damage are excluded, so ask about surge protection.

While you're away: seasonal homes and snowbirds
Many Palm Beach County homes sit closed up all summer, but the humidity stays. The AC is what dries the air inside; if it stops or is switched off, moisture collects in closets, furniture and drywall, and mold can follow.
Before you leave
- Leave the AC on at a warmer setting, not off, so it keeps removing moisture; use the humidity setting if your thermostat has one.
- Put in a clean filter.
- Ask a neighbor or house watcher to check that cool air still comes out.

On that visit a Comfort Club member pays $123 less. A year of Comfort Club dues at the 1-tune-up price is $203.88, and the Premier Tune-Up it includes is a $275 value.
Premier and Optimum pay covered repairs from the $1,500 yearly allowance while enough remains; any amount above it is yours. Problems that existed before you joined are not covered. The Comfort Club terms list every limit and exclusion.

They are a fantastic company who stands behind their work. Today, I had the technician Renaud who serviced my unit and did a great job of identifying an issue that needed to be fixed (a capacitor) and just did the yearly service and found no other issues due to my maintaining every year. Should I choose 1 or 2 tune-ups a year?
Each plan level comes with 1 or 2 tune-ups a year, your choice, picked when you join; 2 doubles the monthly price. Homes near the ocean, hard-working systems and seasonal residents often pick 2.
I leave Palm Beach County for the summer. When should I book my tune-up?
Book it for the weeks before you leave, so the drain line is flushed and the pan treated before the house sits empty. Then leave the AC on at a warmer setting, not off, so it keeps drying the air.
Is a maintenance plan the same as a warranty?
No. A maintenance plan pays for tune-ups and lowers or covers repair costs; a manufacturer warranty covers equipment defects. Under the membership agreement, equipment still under an active manufacturer warranty goes to the manufacturer first.
Can I cancel my maintenance plan?
Each membership is a 12-month agreement; monthly billing pays the yearly fee in installments, and once any benefit is used the full yearly fee is due.
